What this site claims, what tests it, and what happened when each claim was made false
A register that prints held beside every claim proves only that the checks agree with themselves. In the language of audit that is inquiry: a control described, not observed. A test of controls is different. The control is watched operating, and a control that has never been seen to fail is not evidence that it can. So every check on this site has a falsification on record: an edit to a copy of the site that makes the claim false at its source (a piece, the content, a font, the workflow, or the build's own code), after which the whole build is run in that copy and must refuse, naming the check. A claim prints held only while a current, caught falsification stands behind every check it cites; otherwise it prints untested. A claim nothing tests prints asserted; a claim measured in a browser prints not yet measured when its record is older than the page.
Nothing on this page is typed. Every number is a check's own tally or a record's count, every glyph in the two walls below is one record, and check 29 reads this page back against the records on every build. The colophon says how the site is built and defines every number it counts; this page says which of its claims are tested, which are asserted, which are stale, and what happened when each was false.
